I really liked that the kit came with everything. It really out did the kit we bought and returned from our neighborhood Canadian Tire store. With all the room left over it will be easy to personalize the kit with other stuff we may need such as change of clothes, shoes, etc. Sending the list of things we could add to it was also a nice follow up touch for customer service. I, like NaeKid will have to use a different pack for winter but this one will do me for other times of the year that I don't wear a heavy jacket or sweater. I would definitely recommend anyone who is thinking about purchasing a survival kit to check this one out.
After we practice our bug out trip I will get back to you on how well the kit worked for our situation.

Review:
Ordered the two of the kits late Feb 2010, received the kits mid Mar 2010.

Overall we are impressed with the products included with this kit and the general design of the backpack that everything is put into I really like the fact that the backpack has enough room for a person to customize it with personal items like clothing and specific dietary needs / medicines. However, I do have a problem with the backpack. It seems to have been designed with a mid-teenager's size in mind or a small woman. I am unable to comfortably squeeze into this pack wearing only a light T-shirt even after adjusting the straps to their fully extended length.

For me, I will need to replace the pack with a much wider shoulder design that should work when wearing a heavy winter jacket.

We will practice a BugOutSituation using primarily the products in this kit and will report back after testing.

Review:
After online searching and reviewing many kit contents, I selected this one because it contains the best selection items for the value. After receiving both kits and reviewing, I am very happy with the quality and contents. The backpack is excellent quality, lightweight, and comfortable. The contents are neatly compartmentalized in packaging and cover the essentials. Unique about this kit is that it contains an emergency sleeping bag which is preferred over the ER space blanket and it contains a 2-person pup-tent. No other kit has these items. It also has more water that any other kit. There is more than enough room to customize with additional items such as clothing, documents, additional food items such as MREs, additional first aid items, etc. It also contains a small radio and flashlight. For the money, this kit is the best thought-out selection of items. I just ordered 2 more for Christmas presents. The service is excellent. There was a glitch in the order but the team was extremely responsive and immediately corrected the issue.

Well thought out and convienent kit! Seems very durable and food and water products have a long shelf life. Not as heavy as I was expecting yet has all the goodies one would need in an emergency. We keep it under our bed with a change of clothes in it.
